Animal-friendly exclusion of bats
The EF3 exclusion flap is a temporary wildlife provision designed to exclude bats from buildings as part of licensed of renovation or demolition projects. The flap allows bats to leave a structure safely while preventing them from re-entering. This supports controlled exclusion in line with ecological requirements.
Application
The exclusion flap can be used for exclusion of all building parts. The exclusion flap’s height of 30 mm allows both small and large bat species to exit through the flap and prevents return.
Design
With this new design, we have taken an important step forward. The exclusion flap can be used directly, without any adjustments such as cutting. This makes it ideal for application along roof edges, perp joints and other joints or cracks. In addition, the compact size ensures that it can be transported easily. The user-friendly design and the rigid plastic material ensure that bats do not have sufficient grip to climb back inside. Click on this link for the video.
Installation
The exclusion flap can be placed directly over perp joints or, when rotated, against a fascia board or another opening parallel to the facade. The flap can easily be fixed using sealant or small nails. Always ensure that bats have sufficient grip around the entrance of the flap. Bats must be able to climb into the flap.
Note!
Exclusion flaps may only be used once the required permits have been obtained.
