Unitura’s three-layer bat module has been specifically designed as a maternity roost for the common pipistrelle. This permanent surface-mounted module can be installed directly onto the façade as a standalone maternity box, or connected to create very large roost provisions.
With three internal compartments, the module provides generous roosting space and variation in microclimates. Its lightweight design makes installation straightforward, and the module can be finished with façade cladding of your choice.
Thanks to the modular system, the VMWM3 can easily be connected to other modules, such as the VMWM1 and VMWM2, creating even more varied roosting spaces.
Suitable for common pipistrelle
The VMWM3 has been specifically developed as a maternity roost for the common pipistrelle (Pipistrellus pipistrellus). Thanks to the different compartments and the ability to create multiple microclimates, this module provides ideal conditions for bats to rest and raise their young.
The module is suitable for standalone use without further finishing. Thanks to its modular design, the bat module can be extended and adapted to specific spatial requirements.
Design
The VMWM3 is a shell-type box without a rear panel and is installed directly onto the external wall. This allows bats to climb into the box via the rough external wall surface. The module has a high-quality finish, meaning façade cladding is not required, but the modules have been designed so that façade cladding can be installed over them.
Thanks to its modular design, the VMWM3 can be connected in all directions, both to other VMWM3 modules and to the VMWM1 and VMWM2. This provides the opportunity to create customized roosts tailored to the needs of bats and the specifics of the building project.
