This woodcrete house sparrow box is suitable for mounting onto façades. Compared with timber models, the advantage of a woodcrete house sparrow box is that it lasts longer without maintenance.
Suitable for
This house sparrow box has been specifically designed for the mitigation of house sparrow nesting sites. The boxes can be installed either in clusters or individually. In addition to house sparrows, great tits and other tit species may also use this box.
Design
House Sparrow Box HMTH1 has been designed as part of Unitura’s new range of external woodcrete boxes. The boxes have a modern and functional design. The sloping roof of the nest box provides drainage, helping to reduce staining on the façade. The house sparrow box is made entirely from woodcrete, giving it a very long service life.
Position
Install the box on buildings at a minimum height of 3 m. A position close to the gutter is ideal. The boxes should not be exposed to direct sunlight, so install them on north- or east-facing façades, or underneath a gutter.
Installation
The nestboxes are easy to assemble, using the included screws and instruction card.
This box is related to VMTH1 VMTH1a, GZTH1 and HOTH1 and are often purchased together.
