What began as a promising initiative within Unitura has grown into an independent force. Following the successful validation of our eDNA bat survey methodology, a new branch was established a year ago: Unitura Services. A dedicated team focused on accelerating and improving ecological surveys. Now, one year later, that same branch is standing on its own under a new name: EcoTrace.
At EcoTrace, everything is driven by one conviction: ecological surveys should not be a barrier to progress. We see it every day in practice. Development projects are often delayed by lengthy survey requirements, while everyone involved wants to keep construction moving forward. EcoTrace takes a different approach. By combining ecological expertise with technological innovation, the team brings together speed, certainty and scientific accuracy in a single, streamlined solution.
Using advanced tools such as eDNA analysis and QuickScan Plus, EcoTrace provides contractors, ecologists and local authorities with faster insight into the presence of protected species. Instead of waiting months for survey results, clients receive clear, actionable findings within just a few weeks. Scientifically validated, legally robust and immediately applicable in practice.
The launch of EcoTrace allows Unitura to focus once again on its core mission: developing and supplying nature-inclusive solutions for the built environment and public realm. Meanwhile, EcoTrace provides the ecological surveys, data and scientific insights that support these solutions, creating a strong partnership between research and implementation.
