Welkom Daniëlle

Welcome Danielle Geplaatst op: 23 February 2026

Introducing

Hi, I’m Daniëlle Hesselink, 21 years old and I still live at home with my parents in beautiful Hertme. I’ve been working at Unitura as a Commercial Product Assistant for a few months now. It may sound like a mouthful, but it comes down to everything I do: processing quotations, entering orders, helping customers on the phone and making sure everything goes out on time.

One moment I’m mostly dealing with the mailbox and customer calls, the next moment I’m working on packing slips, pick lists and orders. There is a lot of variety, and that makes the work fun.

Actually, I was sold right away

Before joining Unitura, I completed a vocational business and retail management course in the Netherlands. After graduating, I worked at Borghuis in Deurningen for two years, where I gained valuable experience. Still, I felt ready for a new challenge. While exploring new opportunities, I came across the vacancy at Unitura, and it immediately felt like the right fit. The variety within the role appealed to me, but it was mainly the interview itself that convinced me. It was simply a genuinely enjoyable conversation, and I immediately thought: this could really suit me.

Welkom Daniëlle

Just be yourself, that’s more than enough

What really feels typical of Unitura to me is the atmosphere. Everyone is down to earth and willing to help. If you get stuck on something, there is always someone ready to support you, and nobody makes a fuss about it. People work hard here, but there is always room for a laugh as well. That balance is important to me.

My working day usually starts around 8:30 in the morning. We begin by going through the inbox as a team while the first customer calls start coming in. Some customers also drop by the office, and then I help direct them to the right colleague. In the afternoon, we focus on preparing orders by creating picking lists, printing packing slips and processing orders. And in between? We jump in to help colleagues or return customer calls. I enjoy that constant variety and switching between tasks throughout the day.

I don’t know everything yet, but I’m learning more and more

What I really like is that I’m still learning something new every day. I haven’t been here that long yet, but I already notice that I can handle more independently. In the beginning, I found it quite nerve wracking when a customer asked me something I didn’t know. Now I just think: no problem, I’ll figure it out or ask a colleague. That is completely normal here. Nobody expects you to know everything straight away, as long as you are willing to learn.

And after work? I enjoy spending time at home with my horses, just pottering around, or meeting up with friends to do something fun together.
