Welcome Joleyn! Geplaatst op: 23 February 2026

Introducing

Hello, my name is Joleyn, I am 29 years old and I work as an office manager at Unitura. I am someone who likes to take time to be creative after a long day at work. Whether that’s drawing, painting or putting together DIY kits, it doesn’t matter. I am also a big fan of socializing and love to go out for a drink with friends or family at the weekend. I also play padel once a week.

My career for Unitura

After completing my education as an executive secretary, I started working as a receptionist/telephonist at a kitchen store. My duties at the time were quite diverse: receiving customers, making appointments, taking phone calls and some administrative work. As time went on, my responsibilities expanded and I moved into customer service. In this role, I was the first point of contact for customers with complaints about their kitchens. I also supported rental companies with kitchen problems from their tenants.

Welkom Joleyn!

How I ended up at Unitura

Unitura was not unknown territory for me. It is a company founded by my brother-in-law and a friend from my group of friends, so I knew the company from the moment it was started. When I heard that they were looking for an office manager, this immediately caught my attention. What particularly attracted me to the position was the ability to take care of all kinds of things and support colleagues as needed.

Organizing and supporting

As office manager at Unitura, I am responsible for the day-to-day running of the office. This means that I take care of the office supplies, administrative tasks such as filing and taking minutes, and arranging gifts for birthdays or anniversaries. In addition, I support colleagues as needed, whether it is administrative help or organizing office activities. I make sure that everything in the office runs smoothly and that everyone feels well supported.

My workdays usually start around 8 a.m. The first task is always going through my e-mail and dealing with incoming messages. A meeting often follows where I take the minutes. After these are completed, I quickly work them out so they can be shared immediately. Then I compile a to-do list for the rest of the day. Tasks can range from ordering office supplies to sending emails and drafting documents. My work is varied, but always focused on organizing and supporting my colleagues.

What I like and am proud of

What do I like most about my job? Definitely arranging all kinds of things. Whether it’s organizing a Friday drink or arranging a company activity, I’m always up for it. I get energy from organizing things well and making sure everything falls into place. I don’t only do this at work, I’m also the one who often organizes a family day out or an outing with friends.

What makes me most proud so far is the feedback from my colleagues. It is nice to hear that the small changes I make, such as arranging a simple towel rack or improving organizational processes, are noticed. It shows me that I am making a difference, no matter how small it may seem.

Welkom Joleyn!
