Welcome Lisanne Geplaatst op: 23 September 2025

Welcome Lisanne!

Hi, I am Lisanne Heino, 31 years old, live in Vriezenveen and have been working at Unitura as a Project Officer Ecology for several months now. After work I enjoy gaming, watching series and walking the dog. I also enjoy going to concerts, traveling, listening to music, swimming and rooting in my mini vegetable garden.

From revisions to career revision

In 2020, I completed my Bachelor’s degree in International Business & Languages, a course that was actually miles away from the career path I would eventually follow. The COVID-19 pandemic made it difficult to find a suitable role, and that is how I ended up at Siers in Oldenzaal. There, I worked as a Revision Coordinator, reviewing digital as-built drawings for gas and electricity network projects and comparing them with the original plans. The role involved a great deal of quality control, administration and coordination with contractors. It was valuable experience, but after a while I felt ready for a new challenge.

When I came across the vacancy at Unitura, I was immediately intrigued. I was not yet familiar with nature-inclusive building, but that was exactly what made it so interesting. The interview felt right from the start, and after my trial day I knew: this was exactly the fresh start I had been looking for.

Preparing, switching and sometimes putting out fires

My role is primarily focused on the preparation and coordination of our projects, ranging from exclusion projects to the installation of integrated and surface-mounted wildlife provisions. Together with Kevin, I prepare all incoming projects within our field operations app. This allows both the client and our installation team to see exactly which buildings are subject to exclusion measures and where roost features or nest boxes will be installed or integrated. In addition, I ensure that all required documentation and project information are received on time, and I handle any questions that come in by email or telephone.

No two days are ever the same, and that is exactly what makes the role so enjoyable. Of course, every project broadly follows the same process, but the details and the people involved make each one different. I usually start my day by working through my emails before moving on to project preparations. But to be honest, an urgent request or unexpected phone call often turns my schedule upside down. And that is precisely what keeps the job dynamic and interesting.

Learning and growing

What I like most about my job is the variety. Because we operate in so many different parts of the country and every project is different, the work remains interesting. You learn something new all the time.

The biggest challenge for me has been getting to grips with the ecological aspects of project preparation. When I joined Unitura, I had very little experience in this field, so everything was new to me. At the same time, that is exactly what made it such a valuable learning experience.

What I am most proud of so far is the knowledge I have gained and the wide variety of projects I have had the opportunity to contribute to. It is also rewarding to see the final result once a project has been completed, particularly when integrated or surface-mounted nest boxes and roost features have been installed. Seeing a project come together in practice gives a real sense of accomplishment and shows the tangible impact of the work we do.

About Unitura

What is typical of Unitura for me? The combination of sobriety and conviviality in one. There is a very nice working atmosphere, the colleagues are not only very friendly but also all really great. Colleagues are friendly and helpful, and you notice that we really do things together. No fuss, just get on with it.

What I particularly like about the corporate culture is that it is not formal or rigid here, but rather very approachable. From my first interview it felt natural and open, and also on my first day at work I was immediately welcomed. That made me feel part of the team from the beginning.
